Always close to our customers Regulatory Reporting Hub holds User Group workshops

Financial markets regulation is a highly complex field, and providing regulatory services a challenging task. Requirements are manifold and fast-changing and it is vital to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on what is needed and expected: from the regulator down to the end customer.

This is especially important for us at the Regulatory Reporting Hub, as we aim to provide a one-stop shop for regulatory reporting services. How do we best find out what’s needed? By meeting face to face. This is the motivation behind our User Group workshops.

User Group workshops in France and Germany

On 12 and 19 September, two User Group workshops took place in Frankfurt and Paris, respectively, and drew around 90 German and French clients. Along with his team, Georg Gross, Head of Regulatory Services at Deutsche Börse Group, took customers on a deep dive on regulatory topics, from ARM and APA reporting through Best Execution and a range of SI services. Representatives from the local regulators were present as well and played an active role in the workshop.

An interface between the regulator and our customers

There was also plenty of time for Q&A and lively discussions with and among our clients. According to Georg Gross, this time for discussion is the most important part: “At the Hub, we provide our clients with regulatory reporting solutions. But it‘s not a one-way street. The feedback we receive from our customers is invaluable. Coupled with our own experience, it gives us tremendous insight into market impact and challenges as it implements the requirements set forth by the regulators.”

Regulatory Reporting Hub is in a unique position to act as an interface between regulators and customers, especially in its role as ARM. Events like the User Group workshops allow us to do just that.

More workshops to come

The events were a continuation of the format initiated with our Luxembourg User Group in June. Going forward, the Regulatory Services team plans to set up more User Group events in additional locations – and will of course continue to engage with German, French, Austrian, Nordic and Benelux customers in a workshop format.
